Medium Wooden Frame

Don’t tie up your time assembling frames, let us do the work for you! Our medium frames are made of lovely eastern white pine and come with your choice of black, or white foundation, both in two grades, standard wax, and heavy wax.

What color foundation should I choose?

• Black foundation is great for brood, the high contrast against eggs allows easier identification
• White foundation is great for supers, the light nature of the plastic displays true color of honey

Standard Wax vs Heavy Wax

Both come waxed, but the extra layer offered by the heavy wax is more readily accepted by bees and offers a better head start.

• All of our frames and foundation are proudly made in the USA
• If you are adding extra wax yourself, estimate 1 pound of beeswax for every 15 medium frames
